Pretty hi-fidelity as far as lo-fidelity goes, was definitely caught off guard by the meme that starts up around the half-way point. Thought it was a camel until I heard the distinct 'I can't believe you've done this." haha

Nice and chill as per the legally mandated requirements of the genre, so you're safe for now. :P

JimPMusic responds:

Thanks man, I think there's a bit too much going on to give it a lo-fi sound. I tried but I needed them higher frequencies to stop it sounding messy.

I'm glad I met the requirements. Hopefully get the lo-fi police off my back for a while. :P

It's as if the Men Without Hats took the time to write some inspirational jams. :D

Delightfully spooky and gets that fortune telling/Luigi's Mansion vibe I was after.
Great work man!

Possibly responds:

Thanks very much, glad it fits the bill.

Should I ever need to fight the Void, I'll know what song to play. :P

Neat little audio experiment! I use audacity and pretty much all of my audio experiments involve echoing and paulstretching to the max. haha

Without reading any other comments, I'm going to guess you used a gong and some room noise to make this?

NekoMika responds:

Nope, it was three audio samples distorted, clipped, and slown down by a lot. If you sped up the audio, it would still sound very chaotic though.

You have no idea how much I'd love to be forced to outdance an evil being in a game in order to save a town/area. :P

Diggin' the intro, totally sounds like the boss intro before the fight starts, and when it does WHEW does it deliver. Those low guitar backed drums mixed with the techno are pretty dang satisfying. haha

I think you're being a little hard on yourself when you critique your kicks, they sound all fine to me. However, if you wanted to add to them, i'd say maybe experimenting with metal hits against pipe noises could provide that pretty heavy and hard hitting effect you're after.

Keep it up and keep improving mang!

Syzion responds:

Cool idea, I'll try that!

Auctioneer-esque mumbling to the tune of a mystical dance song? ...That also turned out to be rad? Dayum! Colour me pleasantly surprised. :P

Composition alone, sounds like something I'd hear from the PS1 Pandemonium series, and that my friend gets you massive brownie points.

Keep up the good work!

ShareeBon responds:

Audio original from Baldi's basics in education and learning.
Thanks for the generous feedback my boi.

Holy smokes! This just screams of PS1 era horror games. :D
The main beat persists throughout most of the song with the piano coming in the the creepy distant chanting to keep the song diverse.

If you were to extend this song at any point, I'd just say that the song would need one more piano solo/tempo change before returning to the main beat.

Keep it up!

ShareeBon responds:

Thank you for the feedback!

I got inspired by some Detroit: Become human Music.
Especially from Connor's missions.

I unfortunately lack the musical knowledge to provide any real insight or advice about the mixing, but I CAN say that this is a nice chill song to relax to.

Kinda makes me think of some of the Menu Songs from certain RPG games I've played, and that my friend is a compliment. :P

As for trying to sound more professional? Don't worry about it, there is a thousand and one different ways to make music, so don't think you need to follow a formula or your work might become predictable.

I'll give you the wise words from a Snowboarder I know... "Don't force it, FEEL IT!"

Just keep making music and you'll gradually learn ways to make bigger and better songs.
Keep on grooving mah dude!

Hey you posted it!
Now it'll be easier for me to link to it at the end of episodes. :P

Possibly responds:

I did :D I look forward to seeing the episode!

Makes me think about a bunch of robots getting stuck in traffic and then zooming away when there's room. :P

It's a little bit monotone-ish overall, but nothing severe. The song goes from the the minimalist parts to the higher intensity ones, with each using the same techno horns and beeps. This horn is usually at a high pitch, and is used frequently which is why the song might not sound as diverse as you'd like.

However, you do have different instruments that are lower pitched as well, so perhaps instead of having a long part of low intensity around the middle of the song, you could include a medium ranged piece that features the lesser used instruments as well as some new ones that get added to the composition. Would also add to the song variety. :P

Try dissecting this piece and I'm sure you'll find a way to improve. :)
Keep it up!
