Not knowing what 'Westcoast' exactly is when it comes to music, I have no idea how to further classify it or what it would encompass if I explored the genre...

...at the same time, I live on the West Coast, and I like this song...so uh...I don't know exactly how to respond here. :P

Nice chill beat and the song has enough variation to the main beat and instrument/synth additions to prevent the song from getting boring, so good on ya. haha

Keep it up!

DreamEater responds:

West-coast Hiphop bro 😂 like 90’s Hiphop. Souls of mischief, Jdilla, Digital Underground... thank you for listening all the same 🙏🏻 You are too kind

(Puts the song on loop)
The Song: Aw shit, here we go again...

Start of the song: A Human Among Robots
End of the song: A Human Dances With Robots

Jokes aside, this has a very pleasant mood about it, and the mixing is rather quite good. Been tinkering myself with robotic sounds, and getting them to not overpower other synths is a real challenge it seems. Doesn't sound like you had any trouble though. haha

Keep it up!

GameBoyFireworks responds:

Thank you so much! Yeah these noises can be frustrating. I'm not perfect by any means, but what I've found to work is a lot of stereo separation/panning. Robo noises and dirty synths tend to eat up a lot of frequencies so if you compress your audio at all you end up with a bunch of noise. When I'm dealing with synths that are all over the place frequency wise I try to compress less and mix manually by hand more. Pan your instruments about 70% left or right and put whatever you want to be showing off dead center with your kick. I like panning my arps really hard and verb them out so they're just a distant twinkle.

Anyway, you probably didn't need to hear much of this, but hopefully some part of it was actually helpful. Haha! I appreciate the review a ton!

The kind of song that makes you wanna say
"I'm a horseshoe crab!"

Miss Flora, a refined lady of beauty and class...and she'll destroy anyone when it comes to a funky dance off. :P

This is really good! Totally sounds like an awesome character theme taken straight out of a video game or an anime. Your production values keep going up and I'm happy to keep on listening.

1:14 - 1:31 is one of my favorite parts, and right afterwards the mix of horns and techno remind me of Jamiroquai, one of my favorite bands.

Looking forward to the next Sundae. :D

Noisysundae responds:

"Thanks as usual. Ironically, 1:14 - 1:31 is the exact place I got stuck for days making this thing. The lead synth (and the horns which is just the same lead synth with a chorus effect) was supposed to be a saxophone playing, but I tried to find a free sax plugin that has a suitable sound to no avail. In the end, I said "Screw that, I'll do a blatantly fake one.". :P" — The Manager

Oooocean Eyes~!
Take me by surprise, lead me to the skies...
That you fantasize!

Really diggin' this one!
You ever play Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist Of Roses? While I know this is a remix of another song, your synthwave rendition totally sounds like it could have been in that game and nobody would have known the difference. :P

Nice work, your skills at remixes are improving in conjunction with your skills at original compositions. :)

ShareeBon responds:

No i have not. But i've been listening to some soundtracks, and i hear some similarities.

As I've already told you plenty in our emails, I absolutely love how this track turned out.

A nice constant intensity all throughout the song and I can see plenty of opportunities to use this song as random cool stuff or plot twists happen. :P

Looking forward to our continued musical partnership further down the road dude!

Possibly responds:

Glad it fits the bill, and thanks very much for the kind words, appreciate it, and I look forward to a request for something musically strange in future :D

It's got that 'Coming out of a depression to rise up and do what's right' kinda vibe to it, could very easily see this in a video game. :)

Noisysundae responds:

Pretty much my situation at the end of making the visualizer for this menu. But vidya? When I hear this with the rendered visualizer, it smells more anime OP than anything lol.

Don't forget about Janet The Jazz Organ, she helps out too! :P

Swanky song you got here. Since my jazz knowledge isn't the greatest in the land, I don't know if this all a tribute to various jazz songs including the Pink Panther Theme, or if was fully original aside from that.

Either way, nice smooth playing and pace makes for some good listening. Keep it up!
