Yoooooo! Shading, angle and details are all superb! This must've taken a ton of work to nail down correctly, and it shows! Nice one!

Burning Attack is one of my favorite attacks in the Budokai Games, because it's just a hilarious distraction before he just cuts the opponent with his sword.

Though in DBZ Breakers, it's a life saver because it's not too slow to use and actually knocks the Raider away, so Future Trunks is always good in my books. :)

(Also good job drawing Trunks hair. Super Saiyan hair at angles is always a challenge)

Ferrohound responds:

A very cool move, a lot of builup for a melee attack lmao. Thank you!

Very lively and natural pose, and some great details on the staff orbs and gold shading!
Katt also looks nice and happy, so a random encounter mustn't have happened for a while. :P

All around good piece, but the shadows in the grass look just a tiny bit smudgy when contrasted against the solid blue sky square you use to make Katt stand out, otherwise the lighter grass benefits from fading to white slightly in some zones.

Simply touch up that shadow a bit and I'd have nothing to suggest. haha
Great work! :D

Ferrohound responds:

Thank you! Ikr, the random encounters can be pretty brutal, especially when you're underleveled lol. Thanks for the feedback! I really didn't pay too much mind to the grass while working on this bc it was already taking longer than I wanted sadly

An alternate reality where Birdgirl never dipped her arms into a large vat of Bird DNA as a prank. :P

Fun stuff so far! :D

Oddlem responds:

she never got bit by a radioactive bird 😔

Happens to the best of us. :P

I would legitimately send this as a postcard, and I like how you drew yourselves as little game pieces. :P

Very painterly style this time around, and having you and Chut as the most vibrant colours did well to make them stand out against the lighter cool and warm colours for the sky and beach respectively.

Always clear to see that every one of your art choices is deliberate, so thanks again for putting so much effort towards the contest. :)

Well technically I'm part of a sunrise as well, watching it or otherwise, much alike with the sunset. For example, I'm still recovering from a cold, so I've been sleeping through the day to try and heal up faster, and it was dark when I woke up. The sunset passed without me.

While I missed the chance to watch the sunset, I can look out my window later and watch the sunrise. To the same point, I can also watch the sunset again when I'm able next time it rolls around. There's always another chance, so keep that window open.

Late night foggy brain philosophy aside, I like the colours you have here! I'm no 3D lighting expert, but maybe having a bit of the pink/purple light on the floor would add to the colour dynamic, as a lot of the screen is dominated by the black screen and the text. Worth a quick experiment if you open the file up again. :)

As well, the guy hanging out in the shadows is also facing away from the screen and isn't getting the opportunity to answer a rhetorical philosophy question like I just did. lol

MoeAnguish responds:

Thanks for the review, and for sharing your thoughts, hope you feel better soon too. And yeah, i kinda wanted to symbolically show that it's extremely obvious that you could "watch the sunrise" but he's looking away and refusing to see it, despite it blatantly calling out for him and telling him "this isn't your last chance, but start taking them. Watch the sunrise for once"

Essentially, he'd rather be in his own misery than simply enjoy one thing that makes him feel alive. A simple sunrise.

... or something. I dunno lmao

Of course Asgore isn't shown on screen, he's the one taking the photo. :)

Good composition with the smaller characters being up close and the taller ones in the back.
As well, attention to detail with having Mettaton not being wiggly like all of your other characters since he's made out of metal.

Fun stuff!

Doesn't matter how cool you are, if you get lost in the woods you're gonna start calling and asking Mom for directions. :P

(I also really like that File Island map you drew, very authentic!)
