The skeleton warriors make sense as a first choice for any Necromancer, what with the Paladins that might try to stop you. Then you see the Skeleton Summoners who help along with the recruitment efforts. After a while you get to Skeleton Guards, the Skeleton Workers, Skelton Blacksmiths, and eventually you get into surplus territory and start getting the Skeleton Librarians, Skeleton Gardeners and Skeleton Diplomats. That might take until Week 7+ though :P

Floaty Mage McSkellybones is probably my favorite, because he looks like he's having the time of his life shooting those flames out of his hands at the ground. Every other skelly also has a neat pose, and despite their common origins, each seems to have it's own personality and flair to them to keep them unique.

Make sure you keep posting your results if you keep going with this! Batches of 7-8 like this one would work great! :)

WURMxFUD responds:

Just wait until week 8 hits and you get introduced to the skeleton distillers and skeleton sommeliers.

Thrilled that you enjoy them so much, I'll definitely be posting them weekly as I go!

So while this is a nice piece, I was curious to what made the clouds especially 'Game Clouds'.

Racking my brain, my best guess is that the clouds are inspired by Rayman 1, because there's some levels with some really nice purple clouds.

I may be wrong though. :P

Nice texture with the shading! You get that really nice faint glow with the moonlight on the coarse scales, but then the ominous lighting gets another neat glow effect with the greens.

All in all, this dragon looks quite alive with how lovingly you got all the details down. Going over the details with your inkliner got all these crinkles and cracks on the spikes and scales, which really works well with the smoother details of the wings.

I'm also diggin' the colour scheme of the castle and the distant mountains, because castles/forts that are carved out of cliffsides are some of my favorite in real life.

Very impressive work all around! :D

RavenCorona responds:

Wow, thank you so much for the big comment! ^^ I really appreciate it!

It's Horse's World, we're just living in it.

Diggin' that cool angle on the end panel. It's also nice to see that your experiments with colour pallets are extending into whole comics along with singular drawings. I hope you learn what you're hoping to learn as you do them! :)

Another fun piece, and as mentioned earlier, I always find it funny how DMA is the most powerful character you have, but he is often the first one to die in your stories. haha

The dramatic angle of Chutney having blown a hole through a zombie with a shotgun to create a viewing window for the audience is a spooky and gross touch that calls back to one of the earlier Chutney episodes, and you have some other cameos from the Mewx series too!

The random L4D Hunter doing the thriller dance with Mewx and Red Skeleton made me laugh, and also got me to thinking that maybe the zombies in this scenario aren't all that evil, and Chutney and Joe are jumping the gun.

The background is mostly this bloody mist/fog and some blurry zombies behind our heroic(?) cast.
A delightful and Halloween-y piece only held back by the blurs in the background, otherwise a funny and detailed piece. :)

Some great composition and colours!
One can only imagine the uphill battle Mr. Potatoman is going to have to fight to stand a chance!

Nice one!
Good use of foreground and background to get those grass details to show some cool camera work. I see you also did some focus blur, so everything further away from Katt's torso gets slightly blurrier to further imply a camera is being used here.

Katt's pose is nice and dynamic too, like she'd been running and did one of those combat slides to turn around. haha

Glad to see you're having fun while doing (successful) art experiments with camera work.
Keep it up! :D

Ferrohound responds:

Thank you very much! I'm glad you like it & the ( attempted ) camera work haha. I'll try to keep pushing it, it was quite a lot of fun.

Ichiban's arms were drawn a bit long like you mention in the description, but every other body part looks pretty proportionate.
But hey, these things happen sometimes. In terms of gameplay though, he could hit enemies from further away safer than ever! :P

Colours are all nice and Slime's looking plenty happy.
You'll get those arms next time. :)

XioNero responds:

I will try to pay more attention before outlining next time jskdjsj thank you, your comment encouraged me a lot :)

Red Skeletons attack me on a regular basis, but fortunately I'm prepared thanks to these handy warnings! :P

Nice details on Skellybones there! Just three colours and you got some real depth there!
Keep it up! :D
