Looks like you got the explosions figured out no problem. :P
Best of luck with the rest of DBM!

im not really happy with the result, i just wish i could find someone else to make the effects for me since i suck at those ^^!
I'd swear that it was actual artwork for the game. :P
I'm not sure if you were trying to emulate the Hearthstone artists, if this is your own style, or if you actually ARE a Hearthstone artist; but it looks great!
I'd try to offer lighting advice, but since there so many light sources I don't think I'm qualified enough to try and make suggestions.
There is a question I have for you if you don't mind elaborating. When someone is able to make super detailed drawings like this, do make them faster because all of your experience? Or does it still take a long time regardless of skill level?
Thanks in advance and excellent work!
Heya, thanks alot. I am not a hearthstone artist. This image was done for the hearthstone art contest over at deviantart.
I have worked for the WoW trading card game a few years back tho. Which later turned into 'hearthstone' sort of. :D
And no... this still takes me alot of time to create. What makes an image better or faster is that you know what you are doing. The fundemental knowledge of creating art. So knowing how materials react, how to make certain forms or compositional things. That all helps to get a painting done faster as you dont have to go in all the time and fix things. But this image took me about 40h to make.
This looks nice! I enjoy the crackly rock details on the cliff and the perspective.
I'm looking at the image though and I noticed that on the name near the bottom right it seems a tiny bit pixelated, as well as around the border of the image. I think if you increase the export quality of your image it will come out a little bit clearer.
Good work! :)
Yeah I did use a lower dpi image to share with, which can easily be corrected :) Should be adjusted shortly :)
Congratulations! Seeing art like this it's no wonder you're doing so well. :P
Hey, thanks a lot :)
I personally would've waited a bit before popping my head up, BUT then I wouldn't have been able to brag...
As well, Team 17 itself is going to hire you soon? Awesome!
Before you know it your stuff will be official Worm's Art. :P
Way to go man, you've come a long way in a short period of time.
Haha, thanks! Yeah I really hope they hire me! :D
If Worm's Fort Under Siege has taught me anything, a single health pick up will fix that guy up in no time. :P
Yep, health packs are the key to a perfect health.
If only it worked like this in real life.
That's a pretty cool art style. Is it your own or is it a style based on the art from the period itself?
Thanks Syrupmasterz! This is inspired from the culture mostly, and beat'em all sidescroller games. The japanese art itself from this era feels quite naïve actually: they had a very different approach from the Western world, and modern perspective or the knowledge of anatomy kicked in late in japan.
She looks like an Emily. :P
Ooo I like it! Thank you!
Aang-ry. :P
