You guy's music is the thing that helps me keep the hope in me alive that there will be another Ape Escape game someday, your music always seems to find a way to remind of it. :P
I guess it's cuz both of your songs have that breakbeat/happycore feel to 'em. haha

Great work this time around! You got some nice sweeping synths to nail the 'cosmic' feel of the song, and the breakbeat is diverse and varied enough to keep the song fresh, without being so chaotic that the whole thing sounds like a disjointed mess. A tricky balance to achieve to be sure.

Then I read the description and find out that Boss was able to crank this out just by working during lunch breaks? That's some dedication right there! I find it hard to work while trying to snarf down food. Computer stuff is usually a two hand job for me :P

Hopefully you all can find continued success out there, let me know what your commission stuff will be like and maybe we can get something going.

Keep it up! :D

If you have to work while eating, you're doing it wrong. I only took 10 minutes eating lunch and another 5 for walking to and back from the food court. Left me 45 minutes to work on the track, plus about 30 mins before work. Took me for a total of 32 hours time spent over 5 weeks. I even ordered the same menu every lunch to make sure I didn't waste my time deciding what to eat. All of those actually worked, as long as I have enough strength to keep those up. On weekends, I switched to making the visualizer.

With all that said, I thanked the job for getting me figured out that my creative juices flow constantly. In my case, switching between tasks is better than working on one all day long. If I were to rush this thing at the last two weeks of 2018, the results might've been worse, and I'd have been bedridden right after new year. It also knock some sense back into me. I was slacking off too much before I got that job.

Did I write too much? Either way, thanks a lot for reading the description and pointing out how harsh my situation was behind the scenes. I'll always do my best. :)

All other stuff will be in the new post I'm publishing tomorrow night. I'll try to make it concise, though.

The first 45 seconds are pretty bumpin' my dude! I could easily see myself dancing to this. :P

Completely keeping in mind the fact that I'm not a musician, I have a tip that might make this song a little bit better.

After the 0:45 mark, the synth that goes 'Ba Bahh BaaaaaaAAaaaah' a few more times doesn't quite fit in as well with the other instruments as it seems too loud in comparison.
Changing the key they play in or maybe adding some distortion to it to make it unique from it's previous version until the soft piano kicks in would add some extra variety to the song and harmonize with the song's later synthesizers. :)

It might just be my speakers, so take everything I suggest with a grain of salt. haha

Keep it up man! :D

Synfang responds:

Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep your suggestions in mind for future reference.

The song that plays when you accidentally unlock that hidden boss, and proceed to get destroyed. :P

DanJohansen responds:

Sounds like that would be cool indeed! :D And the boss would most definitely be destroyed!

While it is the result of some funny misunderstandings, the song is definitely good enough to warrant it's own name. No point changing it here, but we'll talk later about that. :P

I am a big fan of the low tempo and that bass. You also have some cool sweeping wind synths that I don't hear too often aside from certain video game songs, so you get some extra points for that. haha

Hey - sorry, forgot to reply to this. Thanks for the review. How about 'This music makes me feel something, but I'm not sure what' as a title. I've grown fond of Sad (Not Sad) in a way.

Pretty hi-fidelity as far as lo-fidelity goes, was definitely caught off guard by the meme that starts up around the half-way point. Thought it was a camel until I heard the distinct 'I can't believe you've done this." haha

Nice and chill as per the legally mandated requirements of the genre, so you're safe for now. :P

JimPMusic responds:

Thanks man, I think there's a bit too much going on to give it a lo-fi sound. I tried but I needed them higher frequencies to stop it sounding messy.

I'm glad I met the requirements. Hopefully get the lo-fi police off my back for a while. :P

Delightfully spooky and gets that fortune telling/Luigi's Mansion vibe I was after.
Great work man!

Possibly responds:

Thanks very much, glad it fits the bill.

Should I ever need to fight the Void, I'll know what song to play. :P

Neat little audio experiment! I use audacity and pretty much all of my audio experiments involve echoing and paulstretching to the max. haha

Without reading any other comments, I'm going to guess you used a gong and some room noise to make this?

NekoMika responds:

Nope, it was three audio samples distorted, clipped, and slown down by a lot. If you sped up the audio, it would still sound very chaotic though.

You have no idea how much I'd love to be forced to outdance an evil being in a game in order to save a town/area. :P

Diggin' the intro, totally sounds like the boss intro before the fight starts, and when it does WHEW does it deliver. Those low guitar backed drums mixed with the techno are pretty dang satisfying. haha

I think you're being a little hard on yourself when you critique your kicks, they sound all fine to me. However, if you wanted to add to them, i'd say maybe experimenting with metal hits against pipe noises could provide that pretty heavy and hard hitting effect you're after.

Keep it up and keep improving mang!

Syzion responds:

Cool idea, I'll try that!

Auctioneer-esque mumbling to the tune of a mystical dance song? ...That also turned out to be rad? Dayum! Colour me pleasantly surprised. :P

Composition alone, sounds like something I'd hear from the PS1 Pandemonium series, and that my friend gets you massive brownie points.

Keep up the good work!

ShareeBon responds:

Audio original from Baldi's basics in education and learning.
Thanks for the generous feedback my boi.

Holy smokes! This just screams of PS1 era horror games. :D
The main beat persists throughout most of the song with the piano coming in the the creepy distant chanting to keep the song diverse.

If you were to extend this song at any point, I'd just say that the song would need one more piano solo/tempo change before returning to the main beat.

Keep it up!

ShareeBon responds:

Thank you for the feedback!

I got inspired by some Detroit: Become human Music.
Especially from Connor's missions.
