The beginning build up sort of seems like a different song, more of the 'villain's theme' that plays before a battle. However, right near the end of the buildup the song amps up the intensity and become final boss-y.

It certainly seems like you were aiming for an RPG Style of music, which I think you were able to successfully execute with the large variety of orchestral instruments mixed with what I think are synths.

Would you be opposed if I used this in an animation someday?
I'll give full credit and everything. :)

    Lugiaa responds:

Thanks for the review! Yeah, maybe the build up was a bit long haha. Also I don't remember using any non-orchestral synths in this (they probably don't sound the best because I'm cheap and use free VST instruments)

Of course you can use it, that's why it's here! (if you haven't found any other music in the time it took for me to reply lol)

This is certainly well orchestrated! I can tell how much effort went into this with the amount of instruments being used.

The song has excellent progression and the moments of increased intensity certainly nail the atmosphere of 'escaping', which is what I'm sure you were after. As well the fast playing violin section seems to fit in perfectly with space theme.

I'm working on a cartoon right now, and this song would fit in perfectly with it.
Would it be okay If I could use it in my animation? I'll 100% make sure to credit you and leave a link so people can find this song. :)

    Zeekyboogydoog responds:

That would be fine! I could also do something custom for ya, to expand both of our portfolios! Just inbox me with some details sir, thanks for the review!

For just an experiment with synths this turned out great! :)
The progression is steady and starts to sound downright intimidating towards the middle of the song.
You mentioned in the description that this isn't finished yet, I assume that there would be a break, a solo or something of that nature if you were to continue? Either way it'd be cool to see what could be added to this.

    Great work! :P

As well if it's not too much trouble, would you mind if I used this song in an animation someday?

    Davirus responds:

    Sure, go ahead.

About finishing it, I may do it for a video I have in mind, but recently I have failed miserably in meeting my music deadlines and I have tons of unfinished projects.

But I may start my discipline with this one, but I prefer to make no promises.

It seems like this loop wants to break into an awesome drum or organ solo towards the end.
Is this a hint/teaser to what the finished version might be?

Listening to this, I think the song would fit well for a videogame boss battle in a castle, mostly as a result of the organ. So the genre could fit in Soundtrack - Videogame as well.

If all of this was made from scratch I'm impressed! Probably isn't easy playing multiple instruments, let alone a piano.

I certainly would be interested to see what this loop could become in the future, best of luck to you. :P

    Syzion responds:

It would definitely be hard to play multiple instruments, if I actually did that.
True, it's all from scratch, but it's synthetic-- digital music. None of them were played by a real instrument. But, thank you. It seems to feel real enough for you.
I haven't put up much of an idea for this song, I'm on a creative block at the moment, so, no teaser or hint to avoid false hopes.
I could finish it, then again, I might not. I hope to finish it though, but that's just hope, not determination. Thank you for your review.

Great work with the looping, I had this on for more than 10 minutes before realizing that this song was only a minute and a half long. Certainly a seamless loop.
I also enjoy the factory/mechanical vibe this song has going on, as well as the large amount of variation in the synths.

    Good work all around. :)

    Stapless responds:

    thanks for your thoughts :D

The song has a good build up that leads to a catchy beat, combined with good variation that prevents it from sounding too repetitive as it goes on.

I'm guessing that the Neptune sample is the wind like sound that appears through the course of the song? Unless of course Neptune has synths playing all the time on the surface. :P

Good work with the song, glad you finished it. :)

    BagelCollector responds:

Thank you so much~ and yes it's ambient recordings of the radio waves coming off of Neptune's surface converted to audible sound waves, though Neptune playing a synth would be awesome c:
I'm dumbstruck that this song is getting alot of attention for what it is, I have plenty of other songs I think deserve a bit of spotlight but nonetheless I'm grateful people like it

    Hey this is pretty catchy!
Do you think it would be okay if I could use this in an animation someday?

    hazi responds:

Of course. I would appreciate it. Any form of promotion all good to me

This is awesome! Good use of variation to prevent it from sounding too repetitive.
Would it be okay if I could use this song in an animation some day? :P

    Noisysundae responds:

Correct! I made only about 20 patterns for it in FL and played with loop chopping and automations.
About using this song in your animation, yes, please. I'll watch it when it's done. :)
