For Mac's sake, he better hope that Frankie doesn't recognize his voice next time he heads over to Fosters. :P

ChutneyGlaze responds:

ha XD

Poor Santa got harassed and given a tattoo he probably didn't want, but about 9-10 Patrons probably died during the credits, so we all had it a bit worse than him. :P

Nice Christmas toon Chut! Nice attention to detail with the warm colours with the fireplace and then the cool colours for the room when the fire is put out. Some funny voice acting as well for Santa.

Merry Christmas Chut! :D

ChutneyGlaze responds:

i laughed so insanely hard just hahaha

I guess the only question now is if Chutney would win in a fair fight? :P

It's got the charm that I've come to know and love from a Lenstarproduction, and it's fun to see a long and fleshed out episode.

(mild spoilers to those that haven't watched it all yet)

Comedy and script wise it's got good pacing and there isn't any large gaps between a joke or a visual gag, which is much appreciated. :)

Backgrounds are whimsical and the camera choices and screen direction all made sense. Good choice having a character look somewhere first if the camera axis was going to change, as that was something my animation teachers told my class about.

For the most part any suggestion I'd have for any kind of improvement to this episode would be minor nitpicks as opposed to anything overall.

Namely stuff like Mike Mash using his arms to burst open the closet doors during his first introduction as opposed to it being implied he kicked them open, or the ScareMeister reacting slightly with his body to the blinds being closed on him, and not just his eyes.
Things that keep a character stiff for too long, but I'm definitely not going to preach 'over-acting' to your team, as sometimes a character needs to be calm and be holding a pose.
And hey, you all seemed to strike a good balance already.

Each animator adding their own flair while still keeping to the overall style of the show is delightful, and makes this episode seem like a fun ongoing collab. I approve!

If you see Jumbo in your area, do not approach him...
Keep at a safe distance and call your local authorities.

When I first heard the wizard's voice I thought you were just having fun reading online help websites using your old man voice. After watching the original video I'm convinced this man is related to you somehow based on how you both talk. :P

ChutneyGlaze responds:

i wish i was related to him i love John butler

Ah crud I didn't have any quarters left at the continue screen and the guy died. Ding dang it.

For real though this turned out pretty good guys!
Music and sound effects were scored well and suits the action...
Animation had tons of frames of animation and good poses, always good to see, and especially so in a semi-fast paced jam...
Voice acting was also funny and suited the characters in their own right.
I'd just say that the voice acting has the same issue I have a lot of the time in my own stuff when I do my own voices, speaking like you're trying not to wake someone up in the next room. A little bit more oompth in the delivery in terms of volume and confidence and I'd have no complaints. As mentioned, I'm just giving advice with how to get it from a 7 to a 10. :)

Keep it up crew!

You've certainly come a long way from when I first started watching your stuff, that's for sure. :)

Camera work and all that seems good, but from the animatic you sent to me a few months back, I'd say that the end joke read a little bit better.

In the animatic, the cat is flying towards DMA's heart, and he pulls out his claws as he steadily gets closer, implying malicious intent and explains why DMA is attacked internally.

While in this version, there is a better drawn and animated heart, we don't get to see the cat getting ready to slice, so it kinda seems like DMA randomly dies, with the clawing just implied as opposed to 'Uh oh, DMA is in for it now.'.

Aside from that, it all seems good except for the part where the cat says 'DMA...' right next to his ear, since it was a motion tween and all. :P

That all said, good stuff and it wouldn't take that much work to touch up if you ever revisited this in some form.
Keep it up dude!

We were talking on Discord earlier about this, but I'll drop my main points here just for quick reference. :)

-Not bad for something made in just a day or two, with the primary focus on the humor as opposed to a large amount of inbetweens and unique non-recycled drawings.
-The track goes hard as mentioned, so there is at least truth in advertising.
-During the infomercial part of the toon, the voice actor was speaking more softly than earlier in the cartoon, so his voice was overpowered slightly by the tunes. A re-take with more power behind the voice or even just tweaking the audio levels of the tunes would be all it would take to fix this issue though.

I've seen enough of your stuff to know what your full effort is like, and the episode 3 preview reinforces that fact. Looks like you'll be experimenting with camera rotations and animated backgrounds, so I'm excited to see what that'll be like in motion.

All in all, function over form with a tight deadline and a focus on the humor/info.
Works just fine for me. :P

Keep it up dude.

Combining multiple clips into one sequence was an idea I hadn't considered and made me lose it for a few seconds. Well played. :P
