So THAT'S how Skull Lord knows all that is going to happen...or does he truly?
Maybe that Crystal Ball is the true bad guy all along!

Haha who knows? (Except you, of course)

Either way, this was well animated and fills in a lot of plot gaps in an entertaining and funny way.
Not sure if there is one last episode before the finale, but I'll be eagerly awaiting whatever comes next. :)

ChutneyGlaze responds:

Thanks Syrup :) I wanna scratch your brain and eat your eyeballs!

You honor me sir. :P
Great work with the sound design Chut!

Edit: Hi there, I animated like 95% of this episode, so I'll answer a burning question.
"Why wasn't this uploaded to Newgrounds?"

Simply put, since the Chutney Island Adventure series is more open and silly compared to the main Chutney Series, I used copyrighted songs and even the audio from certain anime episodes in certain parts for humor.

It's not on Newgrounds since it doesn't fit into Newground's copyright/parody laws, as in 'Don't use copyrighted stuff ya dingus'. So essentially, I'm the guy to blame. haha

No other reason other than that. :)

ChutneyIsland responds:

YOU MADE THIS MOVIE! ONLY THREE AND A HALF STARZ!!! YOU TURKEY BUTTHOLE!

Someone spilt Parrapa the Rappa all over my JacobLenstar cartoon!

Haha, not bad. Despite the fact you say you hate working in 3D, I'd say this was a pretty faithful nod to the Parrapa style. It's also crazy how close it is to your usual 2D style. Craziness!

Good camera angle choices and it makes sense that you'd use more lip-accurate lip-sync in this particular style while still having that loose cartoony charm.

Keep it up Lenstar! The obvious next step is 2.5D. :P

Watching the video I figured you were using some 3D preset stuff so I didn't know how to score this. Then the camera startied wobbling and I thought to myself...
"Ooop! That's real life."

But yeah! That's some pretty Chill Hops you got there. :P

Right out the gate, I enjoy the simple drum beat before it bursts into the main rhythm. Kinda like the Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories song I shared with ya back in January does as it starts out. Has that one woodwind instrument I don't know the name of that gets used in lots of funk songs, as well it even reminds me of one of my favorite PS1 games!

Keep up the good work dude!

DreamEater responds:

Haha thanks vm for your feedback dude, I know my visualizers are still a little rough around the edges but the blend of cg visualizers and OC footage has made for some pretty interesting videos this year :). I'm experimenting a bit more with blender these days and really hoping to begin incorporating that into my visuals very soon :)

I am beyond thrilled that you enjoy this track my friend, your dm went into so much detail that it seriously made my day. I cannot wait to see how you utilize it in the future. Thank you so much for listening and supporting what I do.

I'd say my favorite thing (aside from the fact this one was one big shot in one go again, a la Happy Birthday) is the joke at the end. The second Mr. Potato man's rock was dropped I immediately thought "Oh crap!".

You build the gauntlet and it was only a matter of time. :P

ChutneyGlaze responds:

I read this in your voice thanks syrup!

Here's hoping that those rules get overturned and that this video eventually makes no sense. :P

Little-Rena responds:

I mean, to be fair, most of my videos don't make sense, so it won't change anything!

That was the strongest shovel in the known universe. :P

Good stuff! A trick to fill in those unpainted sections in narrow points in the fingers is to set the brush to 'paint underneath', and you can colour everything in without worrying about colouring over the other fills.

Best of luck! :)

KevinTrentin responds:

haha thank you very much for the advice!

Near-perfection man, I can tell how much effort literally went into every single prop and character pose. Heck, even the light posts in the first scene are immaculately shaded. :P

Voice acting is good and doesn't sound forced or awkward, which is always a challenge when making a fan-work. I could very easily see myself watching more of this when more of if starts getting made. Jojo is in good hands. haha

Keep it up Mick and crew! :D

Well, here we have it...
The first episode where I'm not quite sure what happened.

Was Trish shown the truth? Or did she hallucinate due to a fear of bugs?
Why would SkullLord threaten the trees? Did he influence Chutney's decision?!

HOW DOES RED SKELETON KNOW WHAT TRISH SAW!?!?
...I'm pretty sure why I know why SkullLord has pink eye though. haha
Dang it...I've got some theories, but those can wait until later when I've got more info.

On an artistic note though, great work keeping the Chutney Style and feel intact while experimenting with line art types.
You done gone and made me eager for the next episode to find out, so now I know how people felt between 'June Bug' and 'Trish'. haha

Keep it up Chut! :D

I don't know how you got your hands on instruments that sound like they're straight out of Yogi Bear, but it made the recreation of the Hotel Mario Theme 100% authentic. :P

As well your slight re-writing of the script prevented the whole thing from just being the original cutscene with Yogi Bear slapped on. Fit the world of Yogi better. haha

Keep it up!
