"Ah whatever, he'll be back next game..." :P
Great work! I'd just suggest adding a few more grass details near where the worms are standing.
Keep it up!

DoodlingHitman responds:

Thanks! :)

Yeah whenever I try to add grass detail it always looks weird. I can basically only do one detail and it's that. If I do more than that it looks.. stupid, lol.

But yeah. I should really practice more on creating backgrounds and stuff like that.

This is an incredibly cheerful and fun looking piece. :P
The only thing I could point out is on the stars. They have one small speck of yellow on the lineart that seems as if though the colouring has gone past it.
Other than that this piece is spectacular. Great work!

This is some really detailed concept work, the fact I can distinguish every single object on the tables shows the amount of work that must have gone into this piece.
As well the perspective and floor details are so bang on it makes it seem like this was a black and white photo of an existing tower! :D
The one thing I will point out that seems a little bit off is staircase #2.
I'm sure it was left like that to simply show that it leads to the other part of the tower, but as it stands it looks super steep and crooked, making for an unsafe work environment for the resident warlock.
Going over and doing a quick fix for staircase #2 so that it doesn't seem quite so steep would make this concept piece pretty much perfect.

Excellent work all around. :P

Flowers10 responds:

Thanks for your comment man^^

This is really good!
One thing I would suggest though is to have a few more details for the underside of the cape.
The part of the cape that has flipped to the right shows that the cape has numerous details and shading. Adding some of those details to the back side would make this image even more impressive.
Great work! :P

Nimerion responds:

Thank you very much for your tip :)
Next time i'll pay more attention to details :)

This is really good, some serious attention to detail has gone into this picture.
Only suggestion I could offer would be on the birds beak. There is a small area where the colouring has gone past the beak and over the background.
Touching that area up would make this image even better.
Great work! :P

This put a huge grin on my face, thanks for that. :P

One suggestion I could make would be the lighting on the back of the Snorlax.
The light source seems to be coming from a front-above. All of the shading is consistent with that direction except the back, where it seems like there is another light source.
If that is the case then no problem, but if not then maybe that area could be looked over again.

Great job overall! :D

It's a pretty great moment when you get the bike. I wouldn't say the game was PAINFULLY slow, just slow when compared to the bike. :P
Nice work on the shading and line art. The lines are smooth and the shading doesn't overlap onto other areas. The only thing I could suggest would be to add a few details to the outsole of the shoe on the right. Just a few of the grip lines that can be seen on shoes, but then again it might've been a stylistic choice; in which case never mind.

Good work overall!

This is certainly interesting. :P
Your choice of body part selection for the alien bears a resemblance of the creatures from the game Spore (the eyeless mouths and suction cup feet).
By any chance did you use an in game screenshot for a reference photo?
Regardless this art piece has some pretty good shading and an eerie lighting to it.

I'm not exactly where the light source is emerging from, but one suggestion I might offer is to have the light that is extending across the grassy field to fade out a little bit closer if the light is coming from something electronic. If the light source is coming from something bigger, then I think the lighting is fitting.

Good work!

ApocalypseCartoons responds:

Thank you very much. The lighting was intentional. It was sort of a late decision, but it occurred to me that it would look creepy if the light was coming from flashlights or car headlights or something like that. As if the viewer is just going across a field, when they unexpectedly discover this. As for any resemblance, I'm afraid I don't play video games, so I don't know Spore. My reference points are all in my skull.

Heh, that is some attention to detail when you make the lineart look pixelated like in the game. :P
The only thing I can mention is right near the top of Link's head there is a small part of the background that has a small white speck. As well there are a few of these specks near Link's sleeves. Touching these parts up would prevent colours from overlapping onto each other and make it look even better.
Other than that this is great! Good work!
