Interesting track!
The song gets tense and a bit scary towards the end, like a theme where you only have so long to solve a puzzle or answer enough questions.
As ever, always impressed with the stuff you cook in your music factory. :)

Thanks hope you're like me and when you say "interesting" you mean it :D
Sounds like something that would fit into Playstation All Stars Battle Royale for a boss battle. :D
Heh, thanks.
All you need now is a Goblin aggressively and rhythmically slurping soup to the tune of the song and you'll have yourself a hit! :P
That would be amazing! haha
The bongos and chanting always make me think about themes in games and shows with boss battles against mummies and other ancient Egyptian creatures. For random people that didn't commission this, how much would you charge for people to use it in Newgrounds projects second hand? :)
Cool - I do like boss battles, mummies AND Egyptian creatures too. Umm, I'd probably be thinking about 20 bucks!
Yee haw, howdy and all other relevant salutations!
Well howdy there partner!
Time for some important RPG cutscenes to the tune of anime flashback music! :D
Nice one!
I don't know much about all the different audio plugins and music programs, but it sure sounds like a real piano and violin to me. A worthy investment. haha
Keep up the sundaes, I'll need them to keep cool this summer! :P
"Well, they're recorded from real instruments anyway. What I was looking for is the techniques they have to offer (that violin slide for example), mainly how realistic each of them sounds. I skimmed through a few tutorial and review videos for them." — The Manager
I do in fact get the impression that a certain degree of Evil is indeed near my Residence by listening to this song.
One of these days we need to have a conversation about music so I can understand the terminology better. haha
I know that there were system limitations for the PS1 and to a lesser extent the PS2, but what exactly couldn't be done, or what was the usual work around?
I know synths were used more in the PS1 era, but does that just mean it's what artists liked, or is there some sort of data saving trick involved with it?
I'd be lying if I said I had a good answer :D I think there were limitations in terms of sample sizes etc and sound chips.
Purgatory sounds pretty funky actually. Just a jam session that just goes on forever in an otherwise empty place. Wouldn't be the best, but it wouldn't be the worst. :P
Yup, never quite getting to a chorus either :D
I tried squinting my ears, but all it did was make it easier to smell things. :P
A fine track! The only thing that sounds slightly out of place is the first couple of quick notes that show up at intervals, the Duh-DOO of some kinda piano that's different from the main one. Afterwards the notes soften up, but it's the most minor thing in the world and I can't even properly describe it, so don't mind me. haha
Keep it up!
Fair. I think I put some discordant stuff in there for no particular reason. I was probably raging against some kind of machine, perhaps the Tumble Dryer. Thanks!
Off season remixes are how I trick my brain into thinking it isn't boiling out during the Summer time, so thanks for this icy tune. :P
A good combination of being faithful to the original and adding some spice with the new synths. Good stuff!
Thanks for leaving a comment! My remixes don't get enough love at NG >.<
