Really diggin' your linework!
I'm sure there is a ton of effort that goes into this but it looks like each line was done with a single pass. Is there any trick you use to make every single line look so deliberate? :P
Keep up the great work!

Thanks so much!! The best tips/advice I could give on line quality would be:
-create a sketch then drop it's opacity and draw more refined versions in layers on top of it. Once you're happy with the cleaned up sketch, zoom in to do your lines on another layer on top.
-do not use a brush that is a perfect circle- this produces lines that are always the same thickness which does not look natural or help to vary thickness. try working with a brush with an angle to it
-Lift your pen often- don't just keep drawing when the line turns. Lift your pen and start a new line that is connected to the previous and your lines will look more deliberate/solid
Hope something in there helps!
This looks great!
I have no idea the capabilities of Cinema4D, but if you wanted to go the extra mile you could add tiny little ripples to the snowflakes hitting the water to bump this up to an 11. :)
Thats definitely possible. I think the limitations lay with my CPU and my knowledge on render optimization :)
It's supposed to be ice but I haven't grasped the full implimentation of particles yet. Needs some work. Thanks for the honest feedback, always appreciate these things!
Looks pretty good! Not sure what kind of feet this creature has, but compared to his hands they look a bit blockier and harder to make out. If he doesn't have blocky feet then maybe finding a way to add more definition to the toes would bump up this concept piece a bit more.
Upper body is still impressive, so you just gotta keep at it.
Keep up the good work! :)
This is the kinda responses I want man! Thanks so much for commenting, and i'm happy you pointed out the bottom half, I'm gonna do an updated version soon now! Also! Your the guy who made one of my favourite Animations ever on Newgrounds! Yet Tours, seriously happy you decided to write in dude.
I'd probably call them Relic Sentries or Wandering Sentries based on their lore description.
Other than that I said you did a good job adding some life to the animation while still making it look mechanically sound, with the pistons and the details of the extensions. :)
Thanks, im glad you think it has life! thats what i planned for this one.
To make it move as much as possible while still keeping a mechanical feeling to it.
I like both names also! I´ll probably keep the sentries word in their final name though.
I say this often, but seeing you enjoying and looking forward snowy weather after all those times you dreaded it really brightens my day. :)
Great work with the pastel colours and the shading as well, not being a master of anatomy (yet) I can't tell if anything if off proportion wise with my brain right now, so I'd say it's all good. haha
Keep up the good work!
Aw thank you so much!!!
Yeah I feel like I can officially start loving winter again now that I live in a house with heat <3 It's been great!!
Cool test! Looks like you blended a few of the textures all together after you finished the initial flat coloring.
Another cool trick you can also try, is if you take a picture of some tree bark and desaturate it before making it a texture. It'll end up giving you some CRAZY details. Great for backgrounds or really scratchy surfaces.
Keep up the tinkering!
Thanks for the critique! I'll keep what you said in mind!
That's pretty realistic my dude!
All those crags and that attention to the shadow details and smooth colour transitions. :)
Gonna try to make a whole range next? :P
thanks! this took hours to render! Maybe it I can think of how to make it less detailed.
That Monster's sheep disguise isn't fooling anyone anymore! D8
DIggin' that pose! The thick-to-thin line work in conjunction with the shading really brings that horrible sheep monster to life. Quirky yet horrifying style you got goin' on. :P
She's running to the battery store. :P
