Great composition and detail rich piece, including the paint witch, but I just really like that frog up there as he's poking up to look around happily. :P

Glad you like it... I spent a good couple of evenings making composition thumbnails for this piece but kinda had to rush in the end. One thing that was certain is that I definitely wanted a frog somewhere.
A lot of the 50s style diners in my neck of the woods would hand out activity sheets and crayons, but a few places did just have a big paper tablecloth that you could just turn into a giant scribbly mess if you wanted to. Tons of hangman and tic tac toe like you see here too. :P
One of the things I like about your drawings with backgrounds is how 'alive' it looks, i.e it isn't just a bunch of generic boxes or the bare minimum to match the setting. Different coloured paper, some of the stickers are on Rick etc etc.
I reckon a lot of it comes from memory and reference photos, but it still lets me know I've got more to learn.
Nice work once again!
Adding stuff to the backgrounds has become a favorite part of the drawing process. It's been helping me slow down drawing and making me enjoy it more :)
And yup! A lot of it comes from memory and ref photos. Since starting to work with these guys, I've been taking more notes on what's in a diner when I go. References help jog my memory.
Stay frosty Syrups B)
Man, as good as the painting style is, seeing an emotionally distressed Lucky Star character just seems wrong on a cosmic level. A few other pieces in your galley paint a common theme.
'Course, this might be a meme I'm not aware of, with happy characters getting drawn sad, but it might not be.
But hey, I know people that do vent art to cheer up, so hopefully this was therapeutic for ya.
Best wishes for anything you're going through right now, and know that there are people happy to talk things out with you if you need it. :)
thank you this is very thoughtful <3
The spider flipping the gang signs is definitely my favorite. :P
Very cool shading on the fuzz, the armor and weapons look scary and it's super well articulated. Awesome work!
Thanks!
It's a question if he's just so rusted out he always looks like that, or if he's so absorbed in his job he just doesn't bother to try and polish himself up like the other crash test dummies. lol
every shower hates him because he always breaks them due to how rusty and old he is :P
Magical Inventor of the Grapplejack and wearer of big hats, it's Mizuno!
Nice rendition! I instantly recognized her from the thumbnail. :)
Tomba 3 is only impossible if we think it is. :P
I'm gonna eat my tablet if some remake/remaster gets announced now. I think sony has the rights to it, but it seems like too niche of a game.
Been playing a lot of Breakers lately, so these guys have been mercilessly beating me up on an almost daily basis for about a week.
It's bad enough to get blasted out of the sky and violently hit the ground, but to then get blasted again and then get stylishly posed on is arguably more defeating. :P
I’m sorry to hear about that, hope your matches are more fortunate in the future
I like how Mah'Nah is happily lifting up the pamphlet just before he's about to be accosted by one of the tourists. :P

Heavily biased due to my love of winter and all things snowy, but I think this is a really cool piece!
You have some nice reflections in the (unfortunately thin) ice lake, and I also enjoy how you had the lake curve into some trees and a crisscrossing valley. You didn't just take the easy way out and have it in a random snow field, so it's a nice full piece.
The upset tourists is on par for Yeti Tour standards, and anything else slightly off design wise for Mah'Nah is just my own personal preference. While I draw him without fur on his hands, until we finally prove that Yetis are real, a realistic yeti is up for interpretation. haha
Still, using polar bears, dogs and goats is pretty close ref!
Thanks again for making this!
Thank you!
I'll keep saying I had amazing fun working on this!
And when you send the dog with the whiskers, that made all the difference for Mah'Nah's face
Noice my dude!
Very fleshed out piece with every bit having a cameo or something slightly hidden.
If you don't mind giving away the secret sauce, how long did a piece like this take to make? :P
got started on saturday, so about 5 days on n off!!
Those are some well drawn hands!
Also it's nice to see you enjoying art again. Glad things have settled down slightly for ya. :)
late late response, but thank you!! I'm settled AND peeing again!!
