He's going to take SOOOOOOOOOO much fall damage! D:
He's going to take SOOOOOOOOOO much fall damage! D:
Haha, indeed!
"Ah whatever, he'll be back next game..." :P
Great work! I'd just suggest adding a few more grass details near where the worms are standing.
Keep it up!
Thanks! :)
Yeah whenever I try to add grass detail it always looks weird. I can basically only do one detail and it's that. If I do more than that it looks.. stupid, lol.
But yeah. I should really practice more on creating backgrounds and stuff like that.
This is some really detailed concept work, the fact I can distinguish every single object on the tables shows the amount of work that must have gone into this piece.
As well the perspective and floor details are so bang on it makes it seem like this was a black and white photo of an existing tower! :D
The one thing I will point out that seems a little bit off is staircase #2.
I'm sure it was left like that to simply show that it leads to the other part of the tower, but as it stands it looks super steep and crooked, making for an unsafe work environment for the resident warlock.
Going over and doing a quick fix for staircase #2 so that it doesn't seem quite so steep would make this concept piece pretty much perfect.
Excellent work all around. :P
Thanks for your comment man^^
This is really good!
One thing I would suggest though is to have a few more details for the underside of the cape.
The part of the cape that has flipped to the right shows that the cape has numerous details and shading. Adding some of those details to the back side would make this image even more impressive.
Great work! :P
Thank you very much for your tip :)
Next time i'll pay more attention to details :)
This is certainly interesting. :P
Your choice of body part selection for the alien bears a resemblance of the creatures from the game Spore (the eyeless mouths and suction cup feet).
By any chance did you use an in game screenshot for a reference photo?
Regardless this art piece has some pretty good shading and an eerie lighting to it.
I'm not exactly where the light source is emerging from, but one suggestion I might offer is to have the light that is extending across the grassy field to fade out a little bit closer if the light is coming from something electronic. If the light source is coming from something bigger, then I think the lighting is fitting.
Good work!
Thank you very much. The lighting was intentional. It was sort of a late decision, but it occurred to me that it would look creepy if the light was coming from flashlights or car headlights or something like that. As if the viewer is just going across a field, when they unexpectedly discover this. As for any resemblance, I'm afraid I don't play video games, so I don't know Spore. My reference points are all in my skull.
When you're THIS cool...you don't even need ears to wear sunglasses...BD
Nice work! The only minor suggestion I could offer would be with the electricity in the background.
Having it so it forks out and gets smaller as It gets closer to an edge will add to the effect you were going for.
Good work overall!
Nice, thanks for the advice! :D
Not bad!
I notice that you go for a painting style approach in terms of style.
However your colours seem to overlap in some areas. (The skin colour goes over the shirt and vice versa)
If you could touch some of these areas I think it would help make the image look a little bit better.
Keep it up!
Also on a side note, I think you bear a bit of a resemblance of Trip from the game Façade. :P
Yes, I know what you're saying about the colours. I kinda rushed with that because the original image was black and white, so i had to use my photoshop skills to get it in colour, not my painting skills. Next time I do a painting, I will touch that up. Thanks for the constructive crit. And yes, I see where your thinking about Trip. There is some resemblance. Thanks again.
This is neat!
Great work on the lineart, you did a great job making the lines smooth all throughout, same goes for the shading.
Only thing that I can notice that might be able to be improved upon is the left side of the holo-wall. Notice how the green glow bends to match the perspective set by the floor tiles, the blue part of the holo-wall only bends slightly.
Perhaps making the wall bend just a little bit more would fix that.
Other than that I can can't see anything wrong with the drawing.
Excellent work! :P
Thanks! Yes I see that. I should've bent it a little more. I'm not gonna bother editing it now, but I'll look out in the future!
Nice work on the candle details, you really seemed to get the melty/goopy effect to show!
Anatomy and facial details seem pretty good as well as the clothing shading.
The only real thing I can point out that could be tweaked slightly would be Lorne's left leg.
His left thigh is just a little bit thinner than his right thigh...but then again, I don't know what illness he has. For all I know he has degenerating muscles in his leg, in which case it makes sense. :P
Other than that I don't see anything else wrong with this drawing, good work!
AH yes I noticed his leg too after I posted it! I couldn't tell if it still looked right from the angle or what, but yeah I should have paid more attention, haha. Thank you!
The details on the Xenomorph are superb, looks like you spend a lot of time on them!
Great work! :P
Thank you, Syrupmasterz! In fact, it didn't take me much more time than I expected, but I thought it was ok at the end
